Join Liam’s Adventure Days for an unforgettable week-long canoe expedition along the stunning canals of Manchester, designed especially for children aged 8 to 11.
Each day, we’ll journey through some of the most beautiful stretches of canal — real one-way adventures with new sights and challenges around every bend. Along the way, we’ll stop for hands-on bushcraft fun: carving and whittling (safely!), toasting marshmallows, and learning how to build and manage a campfire.
Kids will grow their paddling confidence day by day — starting out in rafts as a team, learning key strokes like the J-stroke, and eventually taking charge of their own canoe on solo paddles.
It’s not just about canoeing though — we’ll be playing games, tackling team challenges, and discovering the world around us. Expect echoing tunnels, soaring aqueducts, hidden wildlife, and tons of outdoor excitement.
To make things easier for everyone, we choose the canoeing location based on where the group is coming from, aiming for a central, accessible launch spot that keeps the adventure wild but convenient for parents.
Sessions run Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Parents/guardians must drop off and collect participants each day.
It’s a full week of fun, friendship, skill-building, and wild memories — all led by experienced outdoor guide, Liam.

5-Day Canoe Adventure This ticket covers a full week (5 days) of outdoor activities for children aged 8–11, including: Guided canoe journeys along Manchester’s canals Daily bushcraft sessions (carving, fire-making, marshmallow toasting) Raft and solo canoe skills progression (including J-stroke & solo paddling) Team games, nature exploration, and adventure challenges All equipment provided A fun, active, and skill-building experience from start to finish.
